Dr. Sophia Aizin Brenner
I am a New York State licensed clinical psychologist. I am passionate about bringing a warm and collaborative approach in my work with all clients. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and trauma. No matter what brings you to therapy, I strive to tailor treatment to your needs. I practice from an integrative lens, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in my work. In addition to my practice I currently serve as an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Prior to starting my practice I worked as a School Psychologist at a therapeutic high school in Manhattan and as a Director of an Adolescent DBT Program at Impact Psychological Services in Westchester County, NY.
Education and Clinical Background
I obtained my doctorate degree from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in the Combined School-Clinical Child Psychology Program. Throughout my career I have worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, including schools, community based outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and day treatment programs.
